Join the Canopy

Herbal Trials is building a national bench of clinicians, scientists, operators, technologists, advisors, and volunteers for future botanical clinical research. We are collecting interest and credentials now so we can reach qualified people as specific studies, committees, and operational needs come online.

An interest registry, not a job board

One bench, many disciplines, assembled in advance

Credible research is interdisciplinary. It takes clinicians and coordinators, botanists and chemists, statisticians and data managers, regulatory and quality people, community volunteers, technologists, and independent advisors to support physician-supervised studies and advance transparent evidence generation. The Canopy is where we build that research and operational infrastructure, before a study is funded, so the right people are ready when the work is.

Some disciplines are already represented; others are being assembled. Herbal Trials will not represent disciplines it does not have. Submitting an application registers your interest and credentials. It is not an offer of employment, contract work, committee appointment, trial assignment, or volunteer placement. Qualified applicants are contacted as specific needs become active.

About who we are. Herbal Trials is a nonprofit scientific and educational research organization. It does not sell supplements, make efficacy claims, or provide medical advice, and it does not endorse any herb, mushroom, ferment, or other natural-source substance. The substances it studies are candidates that remain unverified until rigorous research tests them, and it publishes positive, negative, and inconclusive results alike. Participant-facing roles require protocol-specific training, approval, supervision, and — where applicable — licensure verification before any study activity.

How it works

From interest to a future role

  1. You register

One short universal application, plus a few questions specific to the kind of role you are interested in. Upload a CV or résumé and any relevant credentials.

  2. We review

A role-family reviewer checks completeness and fit. Serious candidates complete a conflict-of-interest disclosure, and licensed clinical roles go through credential verification before any appointment.

  3. We stay in touch

Your profile joins the bench. As specific studies, committees, sites, and operational needs come online, we contact qualified applicants whose training, availability, and conflicts allow them to take part.

Boundaries we keep

What The Canopy is not

These boundaries protect applicants, participants, and the integrity of the research.

  • Not active hiring for every role. Most roles are collecting interest for future need. Each role shows its real status.
  • Not a brand or a cause. Herbal Trials does not sell supplements, make efficacy claims, or endorse any substance, and The Canopy is not a movement to prove that natural products work. We test honest questions and report what we find.
  • No medical advice. No one in The Canopy diagnoses, treats, or substitutes for a participant’s own clinicians.
  • No participant contact without authorization. No screening, consent, data collection, or study-product handling until a protocol, IRB approval, training, and delegation allow it.
  • No sensitive documents at the application stage. Never upload Social Security numbers, tax or bank details, or patient records. Those belong in separate, secure, post-offer processes.
  • Volunteers never displace paid staff. Volunteer service is separate from employment and never performs licensed clinical duties unless separately credentialed and authorized.
  • Nonpartisan. The Canopy carries no political or campaign activity of any kind.

We assemble the people who make botanical research credible — and we hold them to the same standard we hold the science.

Tell us who you are and how you would like to contribute. It takes a few minutes, and it puts you on our radar for the right future role.

Submitting an interest form does not guarantee selection, employment, volunteer placement, compensation, or participation in any study. Herbal Trials is currently collecting interest as it builds its research and operational infrastructure.
