An ecosystem, gathered early
Herbal Trials is not hiring one narrow team. Credible botanical research needs an ecosystem: clinicians, botanical and natural-product scientists, statisticians, safety and regulatory people, trial operators, community volunteers, technologists, advisors, study sites, and future committee members. The Canopy is where we assemble that bench — before a study is funded — so the right people are ready when the work is.
What Herbal Trials is
Herbal Trials is a nonprofit scientific and educational research organization. Its purpose is rigorous, physician-supervised clinical research on botanical and natural-product candidates, conducted transparently and published in full.
It does not practice medicine, diagnose disease, or provide therapeutic services. It does not sell supplements, make efficacy claims, or endorse any herb, mushroom, ferment, or other natural-source substance. The substances it studies are candidates that remain unverified until research tests them, and it commits to publishing positive, negative, and inconclusive results alike.
Why a registry, not a job board
Most roles in The Canopy are collecting interest for future need rather than hiring today. Some disciplines are already represented; others are being assembled. Herbal Trials will not represent disciplines it does not have. Registering your interest is not an offer of employment, contract work, committee appointment, trial assignment, or volunteer placement — it puts you on the bench so we can reach you when a specific need becomes active.
How it relates to Herbal Trials
The Canopy is the careers, volunteer, and advisory front door of herbaltrials.org. The organization’s governance, ethics, transparency commitments, and open books live on the main site; this is where people who want to help find their place in the work.
